The festival’s Saturday traditionally concludes with the Zlatirepec award ceremony. This year, the international Sophie Castille Award for the best Slovenian comic book translations will also be presented for the first time. The jury, consisting of animator Milanka Fabjančič, illustrator and painter Milan Erič, and translator and editor Bojan Albahari, selected the winners from among 96 works published between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024. The evening will also feature a performance by the duo Slika z jezika (illustrator Jernej Žumer and rapper Urh Mlakar), who blend freestyle rap with comic book panels.
