The exhibition Shards presents the comic book debut of the same name, in which the young illustrator and comics artist Neža Šivec drew on her many years of experience working with the homeless. Shards opens up many pressing social issues, such as violence, poverty, addiction and homelessness, revealing the often overlooked and invisible aspects of modern society through fragments of stories and lives. The exhibition presents the process of creating the comic book, from quick charcoal sketches, drawings and portraits of homeless people from the streets of Ljubljana to the final comic book pages.
